The above was posted by Tim Powers on the Writers of the Future Forum. I posted it here because it's a piece of advice that I need to keep in mind. Sometimes I think I forget to push my character into a corner -- a really, tight, dark corner. And sometimes I do have that hard choice for them to make, but probably don't add enough tension and angst into the decision.
