It never rains in California?

Usually it never does rain in California in the summer -- which, I guess you could say late May is not summer yet, but here, it is. We've had May's where the temp hits in the 100's already, in fact, just a couple years ago. But this May has been quite unusual. It gets up in the 80's and then it goes back down. We've a 50% chance of rain tomorrow and then by Sunday it's supposed to be 90. That's Calif. for you. Cold one day (and yes, 70 is *cold* here) and hot the next. Life's tough, eh?
We go camping with a group of family and friends every Memorial Day and Labor day weekend. This year, we got canceled because of snow. Which was just as well, as Kenny, our friend who just passed away, was a huge part of our camping life, and I don't think we would have gone this Memorial Day with him not there and it all so fresh. By Labor Day it'll probably be easier. So we're off to the coast this afternoon instead. Interneting will be intermittent.
