We returned from Reno Monday evening, after the second-year-in-a-row tire blowout on Hwy 80.  What's up with that?  All was well, we had an excellent driver, but it was the same car, same set of tires, although a different wheel.  Needless to say, he was going to the tire shop the very next day to get that set of tires replaced, never to buy that brand again.

Babysat both grandboys the next day, which went well, because I missed the little boogers and they missed me, too.  AND they took good naps, so I got 1 1/2 hour break!  Yippee.

The next day, Wed., I woke feeling rough, with a pretty sore throat and a loose cough.  By 11 am, after trying to attend a meeting and having to leave early, I came home to find I had a fever and the gunk in my chest.  One of our friends that we saw in Reno was sick and coughed all over me the first night (although she did try to not cough right on me).  I guess there's some virulent virus going around.  The only good news is that I'd rather have the rock on my chest and chest congestion and sore throat than a head cold and not be able to breathe.  Although the headache I ended up with yesterday afternoon almost laid me low.  Woke up feeling draggy, but much better today.  No fever, although the cough tears my throat up.

Interesting post over at Nathan Bransford's ([livejournal.com profile] nathanbransford ) today about epublishing vs traditional publishers.  If you're interested in some background information (although I'm unsure how factual his numbers are, he certainly sounds as if he knows what he's talking about.

Also, an interesting post about writing for the luv over at Kiersten White's blog.  It's a reminder I can always use, to take one's eye off the publishing and focus it strictly on writing because I love it.
