I have not watched the Lost Finale yet. Sometime later today. Thanks to all of you who warned of spoilers in your posts. I shall go back and read your posts after I watch my dvr recording.
The reason I didn't watch was I could not keep my eyes open, starting about 8:15. After I ate dinner, I got a little peppy and thought I might make it, but that didn't last long.
See, Saturday was more than a little exhausting. My son planned a surprise for his 4th wedding anniversary and his wife's birthday joint celebration by taking her to San Francisco, so I had the kids. And it was also our friend's memorial service that day. Which was fine, the 3 year old loves it out at the ranch and there were other kids to play with, so it was fine, but just a worry that he stay out of the irrigation ditch and mainly the road. And really, if you're going to take a baby somewhere, a 2-month old is pretty trouble free. Except I forgot the baby bjorn-thingy so I could strap him on, as well as the swing, so I had to carry him with me and he got heavy pretty quick, even though he's still so small. But he was good, he's at a good sleeping phase right now. Except at night. Except he really did well and slept for 4 1/2 hours straight. Except I kept thinking he was going to wake up at any time so I couldn't get to sleep during that time. And then he woke up every 2 hours for the rest of the night. So I think I probably got about 2-4 hours interrupted sleep that night. I've found I can get by just fine with no problems at all on 5 hours sleep--if it's straight through, and even 4-4 1/2 is okay, although that makes me pretty tired.
So last night I was asleep by 9 pm and I slept until 6:30 this morning. It's unheard of for me to get 8 hours sleep, a full night is usually about 7 for me, so sleeping 9 1/2 is crazy! I think I even got up in the middle of the night and went right back to sleep. Sometimes that's an hour-long ordeal, or more, trying to get back to sleep.
Now back to routine. Yoga and the gym today. Hopefully some writing--haven't even attempted that. I received a rejection letter this weekend, not altogether unexpected. It was a story I subbed on a dare to myself. I don't think I even had anyone crit it, and when I went back and read the story about a month ago, well, to be kind, let's just say I *should* have had someone crit it. Although the story I thought was fine. And it did go into a second hold, so I have to be happy with that.
