Ever have one of those Chicken Little-the-sky-is-falling days?  Nothing major is wrong but yet a feeling of disaster looms and every small little problem seems huge and disaster-laden.  My husband's employer is switching insurance, and while I thought our previous insurance was crappy, oh my god I had no idea it could get even worse.  But apparently it can, and it is.  We're going to be paying even more for less coverage, which means more out-of-pocket expense.  I know medical care is expensive, but I can't help but feel that the insurance companies are just screwing us.  I'm still stuck in the middle of a lack-of-communication battle between my insurance, the doctor, and a lab for a 8-month old bill.  It's been head-bangingly frustrating trying to get any one of the three to take any responsibility for it.  And I imagine once the end of the month rolls around and we're no longer part of that insurance company, that their incentive to resolve the issue will be nil-to-none.

Then I have this stupid sore on the inside of my lip that started out as a little teeny canker sore and keeps growing and growing.  It's swollen today, but the grandbaby did head butt me yesterday right in that spot, so I think I'll wait another day.  But I'm ready to go to the doctor over a stupid little canker sore.  On a side note, I have never ever had a cold sore.  I should offer my body to medical science to extract my resistance to those I suppose.  But little canker sores make me sick.  Mine started out in the usual way, when I bit my lip while eating.  Now it's like a germ-fest out of control or something.

So see?  Nothing really majorly wrong, I just hate it when I feel like my world is spiraling out of control over silly little things that I know on a "normal" day would be nothing at all.  Nothing insurmountable, it's just my perception.  Does this count as creative writing, btw?  As an aside, I've never taken laptop to Starbuck's before.  It's kinda fun, although I forgot my wireless card in the car (yes, laptop is just old enough to not have built-in wireless) and I don't want to leave the laptop here unattended while I go fetch it, so I'm writing this in Word.  Sure is busy in here today.  Must be the rain.
