Inspiration in Strange Places
Nov. 14th, 2008 11:02 amYou never know when the muse will strike. It's usually from left field, a place you never expected. I picked up a Woman's Day magazine, didn't really see any articles I wanted to read, nothing that really appealed, but I was wasting time, so I decided to read one anyway. And there, towards the bottom, was the gem. Just two lines really. But a mental picture struck, tied to a snippet from another story idea. I don't know where the story will go, but boy do I like the initial idea. I hope it doesn't end up dying on a shelf. The other day, another one appeared in my rearview mirror -- literally. And it, also was tied to another story idea that was just sitting all by itself in a file, waiting for something to pair itself up with.
Now, tell me to go write down these two inspired ideas before I lose them completely to the caves in my gray matter.
