In the continuing adventures of Crooked Cat (he who became so named a little over a year ago when a stroke left him with a weak hind leg and hence, a crooked walk), he has, lo and behold, decided to return sleeping by me.  He spent his entire 12 years of life sleeping by my knees/thighs--until a couple of years ago, when he decided to change his life by sleeping by the hubby instead, which made the hubby verily unpleased over the whole situation and resulted in shoving poor cat, who was not crooked yet at the time, off the bed--over and over, many times.  But yea, O-not-yet-crooked cat refused to give in to the hubby's shenanigans.  And so the war continued unabated and meanwhile, I slept with cold legs.  Then after the crookedness came along, now-Crooked Cat had trouble jumping up on the bed and especially getting down again, so he started sleeping elsewheres:  the couch, the chair, a kitty bed, the floor under the coffee table, the spare bed, the baby's crib (only once!--well maybe twice, until I caught him), the shelf in the closet, etc etc etc.  A month ago, for reasons only beknownst to himself (if even that!) he decided it was time to return to my leg at night.  At first I was pleased.  Most nights I am, there's something comforting about a warm little body snuggled up against your legs -- until it's 4 am in the morning and you are in the midst of a hot flash and would love to shove your feet outside of the covers for your body-air-conditioning-mode, but can't because Crooked Cat is in the way and REFUSES TO MOVE!!!

That is all.
