Book marketing advice
Oct. 24th, 2008 04:44 pmFor those interested, I ran across what I thought was some interesting information on book marketing. It doesn't apply to me at this point, as I hasn't a book. But for those of you agent searching with your polished ms. in hand, go take a look at agent Nathan Bransford's blog, if you don't already read it. Truthfully, I only read the first installment, it was a three-day post, but it detailed information that I really don't think I've seen elsewhere. Of course I haven't searched out this type of info all that much.

And now, back to ME! I spent most of the morning critting stories and wasting only a little bit of time playing freecell. Finally got up off my butt and went to the gym, to Target for various and sundry items, and then to the used book store where I picked up three more paperbacks to add to my gargantuan pile of TBR books, plus a very cool 1968 hardcover edition of Webster's Dictionary of Synonyms, because, really, one can't have too many thesauruses, right? It has the very cool little alphabetized indented thumbprint-thingies and has a very nice collection of words. I also picked up another Trixie Belden mystery. I *loved* these books as a child and I've been on a mission to collect them all. I think I'm missing three now. Trixie was a Nancy Drew clone. I changed my LJ theme to the cutest little chick pic. It's called "Live and Learn" and the background is a soothing sage green. I likes it. And now I'm waiting for my heartbroken youngest son to come over and hang out with me. The girlfriend relationship is tanked. He's given notice for his apartment. Not sure yet if he's moving back here temporarily or not. *stress temporarily*
