Good news!
Apr. 19th, 2008 10:55 amThose of you who read the
ra_log probably know this already. I sold a story, "Light Through Darkness" to MindFlights. I'm really pleased because this story I have a real fondness for, even though the subject matter is rather dark. I often received those comments after rejections, so I did try in later revisions to add the light to the end. It's a very emotional story for me. Some of you may not agree.
But I'm way pleased about it, especially since this is my first sale of the year. I had one sale last year, and that story is due up soon. I'll be sure to let you all know.
You know how you don't realize how things really were until you look back on them? That's the way I feel about last year. It was a time of upheaval for me. I love baby-sitting that grandbaby and being close to him, but I have to admit that giving up my freedom to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted has been very difficult. And babysitting a young can can often be boring. But things are improving as he learns to do more on his own and accomplishes more tasks.
And that's it for today. I am so far behind in revising and getting more stories out there. Must improve on that when I find the time.
