Several things
Apr. 16th, 2008 01:59 pmFirst, I've a story up at critters this week for those of you critters out there. Titled "A Safe Place".
Second. I've been sliced and diced and sent for biopsy. Well it *looked* like a pimple at first. Hoping now it's nothing serious. and it's starting to *STING* now. Wah!
Third. Does anyone know why, after a Windows Update, my networked printer starts acting up? I've uninstalled it, reinstalled, and I still can't print from the laptop. I have the "share printer" box checked on the desktop, and the little hand is under the printer icon. But when I look at the printer properties on the laptop, the little hand isn't there showing the printer is shared. I can't figure out if its the Norton firewall not recognizing it now or what. It happened a couple of weeks ago when I did the Windows update on the laptop and today I finally did the update on the desktop and here it is again.
EDIT: I've got it working. Had to uninstall and then reinstall the printer on the laptop too, which I was scared to do. But out of curiosity, I'd still like to know why it happened.
Fourth. I forget.
