Chasing Time
Apr. 13th, 2007 07:47 amI'm feeling like a rabbit caught out in the middle of a field with hoes coming at me from every direction and no sense of which way to run. And so my reaction is to dig a hole, stick my head in it, and hide from what I can't see coming at me. Which, of course, is no solution at all in the end.
So let me just say this:
***
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!
***
Ah. I feel better now. Ok. Not really. Just temporarily.
So I'm recovered from being sick, except I'm now trying to catch a cold. Airborne 3 times a day is keeping it at bay so far. (Hey, that stuff works -- who cares if it's psychological or not -- whatever works) But I've had Master Gardener activities the last two days and more today. Haven't seen Hunter all week. (WAH!) Tomorrow we go on an all-day bus trip to the Santa Anita race track -- I'd rather be writing!!!! So I'm looking at next week before I can write again, unless I get a few hours this afternoon.
I have a May 1 deadline for a story that I can't get off the ground, even though (for a change) it's completely plotted out in my mind. I'm just lacking the time to plant my ass in the chair and write it. And then there's the myriad of stories laying on my hard drives in need of either revising or a quick polishing for a re-sub.
So that's my vent and whine for the day.
