Taking a few breaths
Apr. 7th, 2007 08:08 amWhew! I got a lot accomplished yesterday. I got to baby-sit Hunter, which was the best thing of all, while his momma went to Target shopping. He slept for quite a little while and then woke up crying with a poo-ey diaper. By the time I had him changed, he was one pissed off little bugger. Didn't want his pacifier, seemed to want his momma, but she wasn't here and hadn't left a bottle, so we just rode out the crying wave with some bouncing and sh-sh-sh'ing. Eventually he settled and took the pacifier and the rocking chair conked him out good. He's a sweetie.
I did a quick run-thru edit on my story "Willful Steel" that made it to quarter-finals of WotF and then subbed it out. I'm doing an RFDR (don't ask my why I volunteered for that one ... I need my head examined), and haven't had the time to get that going, but I attached me butt to the chair and I'm halfway through now, with hopes of finishing in another week.
This morning I woke up with some thoughts on my Erina and the dragon story -- thoughts on continuing it into a novel that is. I'm starting to get the frame of mind of tackling it.
And the house got cleaned. Now today I just need to finish up with the floors, putting back on the walls a few more pictures, then going out in the garden and potting up some hellebore seedlings for out plant exchange on Wed. And tomorrow's Easter dinner.
Then Monday I'm on to Heather Berry for fellow critter Mike Stone ("MyLeftEye") (dunno why that link won't work... stupid computers... bret, I used your syntax, and it worked before but it doesn't want to this time, and the ones on the tools doesn't work either) .
Oh yeah, and WRITE! Oh! AND I need to get caught up on columns for The Sword Review! http://www.theswordreview.com
WHEW!
