I love Ancient Aliens on the History Channel.  I don't necessarily love the way they present some of their theories, but I love seeing the images and places.  They always make me think.  Some of the "experts" tend to come across as crackpots, however, especially when they get a little overboard with their personal appearance.

Have you seen the wild hairstyles of Giorgio A. Tsoukalos?

I've been on vacay for a week now.  Just 3 more days to go.  Which is only really 2 days because Elder Son is coming over on Sat. with the grandkiddies.  Will be busy and hectic, but all kinds of fun.  I miss my grandkiddy kisses.  They'll spend the night and then we're getting up early Sunday morning and driving home, where we'll most likely have to throw together a quick family dinner of some sort to celebrate the hubby's birthday.  We're at our home away from home at the beach, and I've been lazy and enjoying it.

This afternoon, I did get up off my lazy butt and do a yoga routine, though.  Just a short one, maybe thirty minutes, but then I meditated/relaxed for about 15 minutes, and I have to wonder why I don't do this more often.  Like every day, or at least every other day.  I've meant to every day we've been here, but it always seems like so much trouble to stop what I'm doing (which is usually nothing) and do it.  I feel so much more calm and relaxed, though, and truly, there's nothing like a short meditation session right before writing.  I let images from whatever story I want to work on flow through my mind, not really *thinking*, just letting them be.  I don't know what it does do the brain waves, but the feeling of peace is so awesome.  My body couldn't possibly be more relaxed from this vacation, but the mind is a different matter.  It tends to get stale with too much relaxation, but yoga or meditation is so reviving.  You should give it a try some time.  And I should give it a try more often.

Now excuse me, the couch is calling me again, as is the sound of the waves in the distance.
