Hello, New Year
Jan. 8th, 2011 02:29 pmHow is it I haven't yet posted in the New Year? I thought I had. I guess my New Year post was actually made on the last day of 2010. Time flies by so fast these days. A whir, and it's gone. So here's what I've been doing so far in 2011.
Getting well - Eating lots more fiber -- I have discovered the old-fashioned oats are a TON better than slimy instant oatmeal, and adding wheat bran to it just makes it yummier. And it can still cook in the microwave, in 6 minutes, so it's not a big hassle. I'm also trying to drink a lot more water. My aim is for 6 glasses, I just can't seem to manage 8, but I also don't count the tea or coffee I drink, so hoping that counts as something.
Writing - Well. My goal was to start writing daily again and keeping up a daily word count record. That lasted one day. *sigh* I'm full of excuses, all good ones, too. Actually, I did spend a couple more days revising, and then a day of reading for the Odyssey class. So I'm not a complete wastrel. But I'm sick of my procrastinating habit. I really *should* do something about that. Maybe tomorrow. ;-D
Oh my, the homework I have to do. I did my head-in-sand for two days, assuring myself with confidence that it would be no problem to get it done. ACKKKKKK!!!! Which reminds me, I need to go get busy. Grandkids are coming in about an hour to spend the night and I still need to vaccuum and mop and pay bills and finish taking down the Christmas tree. See, I have plenty to do, and I just need to budget my time better and quit thinking I need some wind-down relaxing time.
