Story Idea?

I asked the muse to please deliver me a story idea.  It's been a long bleak spell of un-inspiration.  I guess I should have specified I meant a *SHORT* story idea -- not a novel idea.  Now to decide if I should try to wrangle it into a short (and probably earn the comment "This seems like part of a larger story) or just give in to it and go.  Oh, and it also gave me a glimmer of a horror story idea.  Again, I guess I should have specified, *FANTASY SHORT* story idea.  It's dearth or plenty.  I'm not complaining, mind you, just wondering how to juggle all these balls.
