Dear Windows Vista:

Your search function sucks big dogs.

I knew I had a file called "Blog Something-or-other".  What I didn't know was where it resided on my hard drive.  So, no biggie, I'll just type "blog" in the little search box that usually magically finds whichever program it is I'm looking for.  Files, it hasn't had much success with.  This isn't the first time I haven't been able to find a file I'm looking for.  So I went to advanced search.  Searched in more locations.  Still nothing.  Now I'm doubting myself.  Maybe I deleted it!  I'm pretty sure it's in my Writing Stuff folder, though.  So I look in there.  Look in the sub folders.  THERE it is!  Yep, it's named Blog Material.  Now you tell me, oh great LJ Hive.  Why can't the search feature find it?  (Oh yes, I know what all you Mac users will say, something along the lines of *headdesk DOH!*  But that's beside the point.)

UPDATE:  I wrote that about three days ago.  Again, this morning, the file was not in my "recent" list, so I searched for it again.  Still can't find it, even when I typed in the complete file name.  I did find it using Word's search.  Once the file's in my "recent" list, I can search and find it.  That's really stupid, Windows.

P.S.  And btw, two weeks ago I didn't hardly blog at all, because I couldn't really think of anything to say.  Now I'm having to write up all these entries in my "Blog Material" file because I'm overflowing with stuff I wanna say and I don't want to blow my welcome with my flist, as it were, by posting fourteen times a day.  I'm trying to space myself out.  ;-D
