Warning labels
Jan. 27th, 2010 09:38 amOne of the medications I was prescribed this weekend has the side effect of turning urine into a brilliant shade of toxic orange. There's a lovely warning label so you're not caught by surprise and think you've gone radioactive or something. Another warning label on the bottle somewhat mystifies me, though. It warns that the medication can permanently stain your contact lenses.
Um.... wouldn't that involve PEEING on your contact lenses? I mean, if that isn't a WTF moment, I don't know what is.
Upon further reflection, I suppose what they mean is if one's fingers were damp and one handled the pill (which is an ugly shade of deep brownish red), and then handled a contact lens, that staining could occur.
But seriously, I find the mental picture the first scenario brings to mind much funnier.
