Not a creature stirring

Been on a marathon baking session.   Five hours last night and most of the day today.  Cookies are stuffed into every spare corner of the freezer.  Persimmon, Snickerdoodles, Oatmeal, and Sugar.  Only one pumpkin roll was made because I figured out too late that my recipe for the frosting was wrong and the roll turned out a mess.  Two batches of peppermint bark made and cracked.  Now on Tuesday I have my great-niece and two great-nephews coming over to decorate sugar cookies.  We'll make a mess, but they'll have fun.  The boys just like pouring sprinkles on untill all trace of icing is obliterated in a multi-colored sparkly jumble.  But the niece likes to get all decorative and creative.  She's 11 now so she'll be a big help.  The boys are 8 and almost 7, and they actually stayed with it for quite a while last year, when I thought they'd lose interest really quick.  We'll see how big of a mess the grandtoddler makes, becuase he'll want to be right in on the fun.  I expect a big mess to be made, but some special memories, I hope.  

I only have until Wed. to get an entry for WotF, because we leave on Christmas night or the next morning for the coast and will be gone til after the first, and I don't have a printer there.  Yikes.  Haven't a clue what to submit.  I really have nothing ready and no time to get anything ready.  Hm.  I hate to miss an quarter though, so I'll probably send something.  In fact, I think I'll go look through inventory right now.  And then I'm going to bed.  I'm tired.
