Home again
Mar. 10th, 2009 07:33 pmWe returned home yesterday. It was a busy weekend. I managed my 100 words a day, but not a letter more. I'm having a hard time working up enthusiasm for the WIPs. And I make that plural because I can't seem to get any of the several WIPs to come to fruition. So I abandon them like ugly stepchildren and start something new that soon enough loses favor with me. Fickle these days, I is.
I received 2 rejections while I was gone. Plus I learned for sure that another market that left what I thought was an ambiguous note about going on hiatus was, in fact, going on hiatus and so that story is released. So I have three little orphans searching for a home. That leaves six out there trying to get their little feets in the gap before the door slams on them. I'm not expecting much.
The Internetz conspired against me whilst I was away. I managed to get online twice with my dialup, but then on Sunday I couldn't manage it. I kept getting a busy signal, but it may have been something with the hotel phone line/switchboard, although I did get through the other two times just fine. I almost gave in and paid the hotel their stupid $13 fee, but I resisted. Ah well, spilt milk and all that. I caught up with my flist last night, all 4 or 5 pages of it, because I just can't stands to not know what's going on!
