Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 26th, 2008 10:14 amI hope everyone has a happy and successful Thanksgiving Day, stuffing yourselves with turkey and dressing and mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie and LOTS of whipped cream. I hope you're surrounded with family and friends and loads of good cheer. And I hope you have much to be thankful for in your life and the ability to recognize it.
We'll be here at my house, all fourteen or so of us. I haven't bothered to count this year. We welcome a new great-niece to her first turkey day celebration with the Wallace clan. And the grandbaby continues to grow cuter every day, even when he's in the midst of a terrible-two-to-come snotfit. We lost the second grandbaby, but there will be another some time. We have our health, thank goodness, even after a couple of scares or two. Youngest son is getting over his broken heart--a little. He's in the midst of anger with swings of depression, but he's talking and hanging out with his old parents quite a bit, so that's good.
Next week expect an update on my failed, but yet successful Nano project attempt, and the things I've learned.
A big hug to you all, because one of the things I am thankful for is my LJ friends. Even though we may never meet IRL, I so enjoy reading my flist, and everyone of you has taught me something or other about life and writing. I wish you all happiness.
