mylefteye) short story collection, Fourtold. If you've read his blog you've probably seen a picture of the cover. It's .... unusual ... to say the least. Disturbing, in fact. It may give you nightmares. If you haven't seen it, you can see it at the publisher's website: Baysgarth Publications. Here
Mike, kind chap that he is, also sent me a copy of Continuum SF with his short story, "Colour of Lemons." Yep, I can't wait to dive into some fun reading. Fourtold contains what else? Four stories. I know I critted both "The TerraCotta Warrior" and "Lemon Man" (What's up with Mike and Lemons, btw?), and am looking forward to reading "San Ferry Ann" and "The Reconstruction of Kasper Clark". I'll let you know how I like them, k? ;-)
WRITING NEWS:
I finished my new story last night. Well almost. I like to try for a poetic type of ending-- I very rarely succeed, but I do like to try. I especially like to end the story by rounding back on something from the beginning. So I need the last few lines or so. I'm hoping when I go to re-read it today, something will occur to me. I also desperately need a title. I'm planning on putting it up at critters for Wed. critting, (I have two hoarded MPC's left for just these type of occasions) and I can't do that without a title. I don't even have a working title for it.
Next I have an apocalyptic type of story begging to be written.
