Don't mock the universe

If you mock the universe, the Gods will bite you in the ass.

This thought occurred to me last night after I woke up and lay awake for two hours--for the second night in a row--tossing and turning and wishing I could go back to sleep.  And my flippant remark came back to me:  "Oh no big deal.  How bad can a hot flash be?  I like being warm."

HAH! 

And by the way, how does my whittled-down-to-size ass look?  I think it makes me look humbler, don't you?
