Why can't babies burp on their own?
Jun. 19th, 2007 10:38 amMy adventures in baby-sitting: time spent walking mainly. Walking and jiggling. And singing. And butt-patting, lots of butt-patting. Not so much quiet time that I can do what I want. Not yet anyway.
Yesterday was bad and then good. Tried to go to yoga and before the hour was up they paged me. He was crying and wouldn't stop. He was fine once I got him home, though and then he ended up taking a THREE hour nap. I got a story revised -- cut 400 words from it, so hopefully that will help it find a home. Did another quick revision of another story, too. So that makes 2 ready to go out. I think 2 are still out and I should be hearing from those markets soon. I'm not expecting good news though, I don't seem to be getting those anymore.
On another front, I'm getting really irritated with my internet connection and am thinking of going DSL. Right now I have this wireless internet modem and it's fast, but whenever there's the slightest breeze, it interrupts the signal. We don't usually get wind or much breeze so it's not usually a problem, but lately the stupid thing is really acting up. I'm just too lazy to call to get DSL set up and cancel what I have. But I will one of these days.
So I better get that story subbed while the baby's sleeping.
